At 12:00 pm on December 20, 2020, the 2020 annual meeting of the Board of Directors and supervisors of the Melbourne World Fuqing Fellowships Association was successfully held in Ph.D. Mountain.
The meeting was chaired by Executive Vice President and Secretary-General Pan Riming. The meeting was attended by: President Chen Yunguo, Executive Vice Presidents Li Zongqing, He Guangping, and Zheng Fujian; Vice Presidents Chen Zhenqi, Xue Baoying, and James Wang; Executive Vice President and Secretary-General Pan Riming; Chairman of the Supervisory BoardHuang Shuibing; Executive Directors: Lin Yueping, Ji Ying, Rebecca Wu, Lin Kai, Zhuang Kaijie, accountant Huang Youhe, etc.
At the beginning of the meeting, Secretary-General Pan spoke and said: Not long after Victoria was lifted, a second wave of the epidemic broke out in Sydney recently. I hope you will pay attention to protection during the upcoming holidays and be safe.
Next, the Executive Vice President, Vice President Li, will make the work summary and financial report for the 2019-2020 fiscal year.
Vice President Li said: In the 2019-2020 fiscal year, we mainly made three relatively large donations.
The first was the 2019 Australian wildfires, which caused loss of life. Our fellow countrymen’s association actively responded to the call for donations from the Melbourne Chinese Federation. At the call of President Chen Yunguo, all Council members actively donated and the folks in Mo Fuqing generously donated money to raise funds and show love.
The second is that when the epidemic broke out in the motherland, the Chief of the Transport Congress launched a call to raise funds in the same township in Mofuqing. The council and the same township in Mofuqing responded positively. The executive vice president led all the members of the council to travel around to purchase a large number of scarce medical supplies. China Southern Airlines and PCA Logistics provided free transportation to Fuqing to provide medical care for their hometown.Workers sent combat armor. Unite to fight the epidemic!
The third payment was that the fellow countrymen’s Association received help from a relative in Mofuqing. Unfortunately, a relative in Mofuqing suffered from advanced liver cancer. The fellow countrymen expressed their love and decided to subsidize the relative with 3,000 Australian dollars. I hope he will make a speedy recovery!
Note: In the latest treatment progress, this fellow was lucky enough to find a matching liver source. He has now completed the transplant operation and is recovering. He expressed his gratitude to the fellow countrymen!
Finally, President Chen Yun delivered a concluding speech.
